// Spanish Harlem Orchestra

The Spanish Harlem Orchestra (SHO) was created in 2000 by Aaron Levinson and Oscar Hernandez, a giant in American salsa music who first came to prominence thanks to his collaboration with Panamanian crooner Ruben Blades. The 16-man group is devoted to the restoration of the classic Latin dance orchestras that once dominated New York’s Latino neighbourhoods. The SHO relies heavily on outstanding solo artists like trombonist Jimmy Bosch, trumpeter Raul Agraz and bongo player Bobby Allende.
